P1249 Wind Data Display is housed in a DIN 43700 pattern (Din144 x 144) case and reads IEC61162-1:2000, NMEA 0183, “MWV” and “MWD” serial data to provide readings of Relative, True,and True to Ship, wind speed and direction. Power supply requirement is 24vDC.

The unit has two 256*64 pixel OLED Graphic displays, 4 Touch switches; for display mode, scalingand illumination control, 4 NMEA 0183 inputs and 1 NMEA 0183 output. A ring of LEDs in 5 °  steps also indicates wind direction

The P1249 Wind Data Display will accept and re-transmit valid IEC 61162-1: 2000 (NMEA 0183)messages with the following formatters; MWV, MWD, VLW, VHW, VBW, HDT, HDM, HDG,VTG, JLG (proprietary), GGA, XDR and MTW. LEDs, visible at the rear face of the unit, provideadditional information for customer confidence and diagnostic purposes. The unit accepts anddisplays wind data from valid IEC 61162-1: 2000 (NMEA 0183) “MWV” and “MWD” messages.
